like art, but not

As a preparation for my final radiation treatments, this morning the docs and techs took turns drawing on my chest.

treatment

Ongoing:
Anastrozole (Arimidex) in pill form, every day, for 5 years.

This drug supresses what's left of my natural hormone production.

Radiation:
Brief sessions, every weekday, for 6-8 weeks, concentrated on my right breast.

Side effects include fatique, and a sunburn-like burn on the treated area.

Chemo:
I received two chemo drugs at each session, Taxotere and Cytoxan.

Both can cause similar side effects, including nausea, fatigue, low white blood cell count, and hair loss. (I did not experience any nausea.)

I was given a dose of Neulasta, to help increase my white blood cell count, at each treatment.
